ohdeargawwwd. they are inevitable … i really love/hate them. the best are the top 5-10 lists. the worst are the top 50 lists. if someone had to evaluate and judge 50 meaningful songs of 2009, they would get to about 14 … then just throw in the rest as filler. there weren’t 50 good songs in 2009. i’ll probz make a ‘top 5 meaningfulxcore songs/albums’ when finals are over, but that would even be difficult. i don’t see what is with the hype with some bands though. its like every blogger lost their virginity listening to animal collective or grizzly bear.

the last time i watched this movie was in a literature class about charles dickens.

I was really pumped to see this movie (why?) and talked my parents into taking me because I was 14 and couldn’t get anywhere without driving. I don’t know what I thought I was in for but certainly not what I actually experienced because I actually found it kind of disturbing and most of it went completely over my head. I’ve sort of thrown it into the same category with Adaptation where I walked in not mentally or emotionally prepared to deal with this movie and gave it a judgment that maybe it didn’t really deserve.

yeah, i remember seeing this as a boy [12?]. i remember stanley kubrick was doing it and i thought it would be worthwhile to see. then he died and spielberg ended up doing it. it was way too emotional to take in at once. the last 10 minutes make me cry every time.

yeah, i was worried that i would miss out on a ‘crazy/zany adventure’ with the gang that i could easily put in my memoir or turn into a film. we talked about mexico but the results were

grace : kidnapped
kate : MIA
matt : disappeared on his own will
myself : overdose/dead
alexa : driving home alone, most likely crying

that would have been the best way to go out. but i dont know. doesn’t seem like its going down and i actually got accepted to a mizzou sponsored program. our destination/mission was released this morning and i’m going to work with ‘wild cats’ - aka ‘tigers and shit, yall’ in north carolina. pretty stoked. was going to do this program for ‘a good reference’ - now i just want to play with ocelots and shoot the shit with tony the tiger.

there is always some dude in the arts and sciences computer lab that makes weird noises [mostly strange moans]. i would ask him to stop but i can’t tell if he is physically or mentally disabled … or both? physically = walks with the strangest limp, weird face … mentally = watches pokemon for hours and hours and hours straight. is there a nice way to ask this question without feeling like a complete bastard or do i let this keep going on and on and on and on [he is a distraction to other students]. if he is disabled, then i won’t feel bad allowing this to happen. if he isn’t … then he should see somebody.

how do i ask a person if they are physically and/or mentally disabled?

so im at work and i cant help but laugh at myself. i have things due in all my classes this week … on the desk there is: intermediate algebra/math for retards book, 19th century british literature articles about the morality of being a ‘mad scientist’, 19th century european history prompts about the radetzky march, pictures of tombstones and articles concerning graves for my geography of cemeteries class, and an ‘ultimate spanish’ book [im not even in spanish this semester, don’t know why im looking at it to be honest]. surprisingly, i knocked a decent amount of stuff ‘out of the ballpark’.
