ive been hearing the recent buzz about andrew bird (a-bird) coming 2 america/columbia.  i never really listened to him but ive been told that he is ‘great’.  gave it a little listen.  hes good, like good enough where i could buy a ticket 2 the show and ‘get down and have a good time’.  then i found out who the opener is … st vincent.  if you think st vincent is good i dont know what to say, other than you are just a pitchfork worshipping fuck.  for those too laze to click on the linky, p4k gave them/her an ‘8.5’.  arcade fire’s ‘neon bible’ got an ‘8.4’.

im guessing her target audience is that small occult of women in love with other women that play music in mnstrm bands.  every1 knows that girl that is ‘absolutely in love with’ : jenny lewis, yyy’s, my brightest diamond, fiesty, + regina.  usually if you like one of those artists then you like all of those listed [theory: all their songs sound vaguely similar].  typically, dudes are confused why peeps find this music ‘transforming’ and just go along w/ the programme when confronted with theses artistas.
